On the desktop, press and hold Ctrl while you scroll the wheel to make icons larger or smaller. To resize desktop icons in Windows 10, you right-click on the desktop > View > Large icons or Medium icons or Small icons.
Tip: You can also use the scroll wheel on your mouse to resize desktop icons. We choose everything according to our preference. Right-click (or press and hold) the desktop, point to View, and then select Large icons, Medium icons, or Small icons. Although File Explorer will remember your last setting when you open this folder again, this is a folder-specific setting, so you'll have to adjust each folder you'd want different icon and text sizes for. Depending on the application, we might have an option to make the icon 'Wide' or 'Large'.
